Hi all, this is the review of "Pioneer CDJ200" review, Enjoy:)
1. It came out in a compact size
2. Majority of the chasis is solid plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap, and it has a nice feel, maybe because of the brand of "Pioneer"
3. The in-slot for CDs lights up in bright blue, it is useful to find the slot in dark room, and to read the labels on your CDs while you hold it to the slot.
4. It has simple layout, in which i favors as i prefer simple products
5. The cue and play button (on the bottom left side of the Deck) is nice, large, and solid. But, the LEDs on the buttons (Orange is for cue, and Green is for play) are not too bright.
6. The whole buttons on this deck is hard, which makes them easy to operate (does not require too much force).
7. The pitch slider has option of 6&, 10&, and 16%, and the slider is very reliable
8. The 0.02% of pitch resolution give advantages, although it takes time sometimes to reach and increase/decrease of the 0.02%
9. It has simple (but enough for track information, etc) and Easy to understand display. It flashes brightly when you reached last 30 seconds of the track
10. For the jog wheel, i suggest you to push the sides of the wheel rather than the top, since it has the slippery feel (you can tell from the picture). It is enough though, and you can use it to search frame by frame when cueing (pause the track).
11. "Allright" effects (jet, zip, wah)
12. It has a headphone output on the back panel, which means you can use the unit simply as a CD player without a mixer as well. The headphone output has it’s own volume control.
13. It has a digital output for those of you who have the hardware to utilise it.
In conclusion: People, this is a great unit for a great price tag of $339 (Amazon)comparing to other products in similar price like: Stanton C.314 and the Denon DNS-1000. For beginners, this can be your starting point Deck, while you can collect more money from your gigs, etc, and upgrade to the high end products. It really is worth the money people:)
